5 Things You Can Do To Elevate Your Thanksgiving

The holiday season is officially upon us, and more families than ever are infusing their Thanksgiving tables with a little cannabis. Here is your official guide to properly elevating your holiday!

(But remember to always share with love. Don’t be the jerk cousin to dose Grandpa after dinner, and store on shelves out of the reach of kiddos.)

If you enjoy baking, bring your edibles to the next level with homemade canna-budder! Cannabinoids are fat soluble, which is why slowly simmering cannabis grounds in melted butter or oils results in pale green, creamy infused cooking fat. One ounce of marijuana to one pound of butter gives you a totally manageable potency. Shake is perfect material for budder-making because it’s typically just as potent as bud, but it’s harsh smoke. Plus, it’s usually cheaper than flower. (We have 14g bags of Pioneer Farms shake for only $30, and 7g bags for $15 right now!*) And check out this video to learn how to make infused canna-budder.

Liquid edibles are coming into their own as convenient, fast-acting, non-smokeable options for getting lifted. We have infused sodas that taste just like your favorite fountain drinks pick up a green root beer, orange creme, or cola! My favorite product right now is the Happy Apple cider ($7.50 for 10mg) from the makers of Pearl Water. They use apples grown in Wenatchee how’s that for keeping things local?? and it tastes just like Martinelli’s sparkling cider! At 10mg, they bring on a delightfully light body high, so you can keep up with family conversation.

Mix your own infused mocktail with one of our syrups! Available in several flavors and even flavorless, you can use it to enhance your favorite holiday beverage. 10 ml = 10 mg, so you can control the dosage by adding more or less syrup for the desired potency. Cannavis syrups (by Smokiez; $22 for 100mg) offer a variety of fruity flavors, like pineapple, blackberry or cherry, plus an Irish cream you could add to creamy holiday favs like eggnog or hot cocoa!

If you’re looking for something extremely discreet, especially if your family can be a lot to love, pick up a spray tincture by Green Revolution (formerly Ethos; $30 for 100mg). You just spray the tincture under your tongue, give it about 10-15 minutes, and you’ll start feeling the effects. Different types offer different outcomes, and after personally trying the Sleep and Calm formulas, I highly recommend their products! 4 sprays = 10 mg, so dosing is super manageable.

Do you have a full day of traveling ahead of you? A pot of infused topical cream will be your best friend. Topicals are lotions or salves that soak through your skin. Typically, you don’t feel traditionally high from topicals, but those tight muscles and joints, cramped and stiff from sitting in a small car for however many hours, would love to be awash in some soothing, relaxing cannabis balm. Kush Creams ($30-35 for 1.5 oz) are on the rise as the new favorite topical around the state for being extremely quick and effective for a huge range of conditions your favorite budtender can help determine whether Kush Creams might be right for you.**

**(Kush Creams are not a medical product, and should not be used in place of medical advice.)
